STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?

I've pulled together answers to some commonly asked questions to give you more information about life and well-being coaching, and how it all works!

Q: What type of coaching do you practice?

A:  I practice a unique blend of health and life coaching. I start by looking at the whole person- what are her dreams and goals? What is a day in her life like? What is she wishing for? Where is she struggling or stuck?  From there, it's really a customized approach.  I bring my well-being experience to help clients who are seeking to develop better habits or achieve health goals such as weight loss, better sleep, less stress or more physical activity.  I made my career here.  I know all the tricks and tips.  But, as you see in my personal story, sometimes that isn’t enough.  Often, people come to me because they are already doing a lot of the ‘right’ things for their health and they are still feeling overwhelmed and guilty.  For these clients, I focus on identifying thought patterns, emotions, and helping them shift their mindsets. Through a customized combination of behavior change and rewiring thought patterns, my clients are able to find lasting results that support their personal vision and goals.

Q: Are you qualified?

A: I believe that expertise matters, best practices matter, research matters- which is why, in a largely unregulated coaching market, you can feel confident knowing that you’re getting the best with Tera King Coaching. I’m a Nationally Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) with a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology and nearly 20 years of experience in corporate well-being. I’m not selling a quick fix gimmick.  I’m using highly effective, research validated coaching techniques and proven well-being tools to help my clients make lasting changes. I know what works and doesn’t work.  I love helping my clients cut through all the fads to bring lasting results.

Q: Do you ever coach men?

A:  I do! While the majority of my clients are women, I have also coached several men. Typically, the men I work with are seeking to conquer feelings of overwhelm, set better boundaries, experience greater presence, expand their energy or get out of a rut. If you or a man in your life are seeking a coach in these areas, I would love to meet with him!

Q: How long does it take to see results?

A:  Wow, do I wish I had a magic wand that could make these types of changes overnight!  While I could sell you a line that you’ll instantly have the life of your dreams, the reality is that (like most things) the effort you put in will directly impact the results you get. In fact, research shows that for habit changes to really stick, it takes at least 12 weeks. Change requires time, patience and practice.   I'm proud to share that my clients find lasting results. They test and try and tweak while having the support and structure necessary to truly build new habits and rewire thought loops. Most start to see (and more importantly, feel) the changes early in the process then build upon their success throughout the coaching relationship.

Q: How much does coaching cost?

A: A single session costs $150. The cost per session decreases the more sessions you purchase. Each of my clients face unique situations, with differing needs and goals. I offer personalized packages instead of a standard package so I can customize the number of sessions and set each individual up for success. Let's chat to find out what works for you.

Before coaching I was stuck and just going through the motions. I was trying to do everything but I was drowning.  Even when I was with family and friends I had a hard time enjoying it because my mind was already onto the next thing.  After coaching, I now set better boundaries, question my shoulds and have drastically shifted my days from constant rushing to focusing on the things that make me happy.
